Enrolling is easy: By registering for MyAccount, you can access your account anytime from any computer connected to the internet.

To register for MyAccount, you will need to have a valid Email Address, and provide your Account Number and Billing Zip Code. Your Account Number was provided to
you when you signed up for service, and is also printed on your billing statement.

How to Read Your Bill

When enrolling in Email Notifications, please remember to add Service@StarTexPower.com Free Customer Careto your list of safe email contacts to ensure these messages get routed to your inbox instead of your junk mail folder.

If you ever forget your password, you will need to enter your secret answer to the reminder security question you submitted with your registration. This will allow you to reset your password online.

* Terms and Conditions: In order to enroll in AutoPay you must create an account in MyAccount and set up recurring payments.

** Failure to receive an email notification that your bill is available online does not relieve you of your obligation to pay your StarTex Power bill by its stated due date. Be sure to check and update your account online if you have changed your email address and have not notified us. You should receive a confirmation email stating that you have enrolled in Paperless Billing. If you do not receive such confirmation within 24-48 hours, please verify your account information or call our call center at 1-866-917-8271 for help. A valid phone number is mandatory to enroll in Paperless Billing so that we may have an alternate way to contact you.

Enhanced Security for Credit and Debit Card Users

StarTex Power has enacted greater security controls for customers who use credit or debit cards to pay their bills online. These added security measures will allow the processing of credit /debit cards without capturing or transmitting card numbers.

In order to validate new or existing credit/debit cards entered into our system for bill payments (recurring, or onetime payment), StarTex Power will submit a onetime “pending” authorization to your card’s banking institution in the amount of $0.99. This $0.99 authorization will occur every time a credit/debit card is used that has not been BOTH previously authenticated AND saved to your MyBill account.

There are several options for customers to choose from when making a credit/debit card payment using your MyBill account:

  1. Do not save – This option will send a $0.99 authorization each time. Since nothing is saved, it has to re-authorize each time, regardless of whether you may have used the credit/debit card before.
  2. Save for later use – This option will send a $0.99 authorization once to store and then once again the first time a payment is made (changes made to previously saved and authorized information, would cause the credit/debit card to re-authorize). Use this option to save your credit card information for later use.
  3. Save for AutoPay to automatically pay bills – This option will send a $0.99 authorization once to store and then again the first time a payment is made (changes made to previously saved and authorized information, would cause the credit/debit card to re-authorize). Use this option to automatically pay your bills as they become due.

Validated credit/debit cards are checked for the following:

  • Account Number
  • Name on Credit Card
  • Expiration Date
  • Zip Code that matches billing address
  • CCV

If any of these validations fail, your credit card will not be authenticated, and your payment will not be processed.

Rest assured that the $0.99 “pending” authorization is not an actual charge. It is temporary and will be reversed within a few days (depending on your financial institution’s policy). If your card is ever invalidated by your banking institution, (i.e. when your credit/debit card expires), the process will need to be repeated.
